Final images for both projects.

Getting ready to finish off all my work just need to color images.

I started drawing this with coloring book images in mind after looking at some other artists work.

I have started working on ideas for images for a coloring book, Im still not sure wether to create more pattern based images or use a character based approach.

 I realized whilst out looking in book shops for a story book to illustrate that there had recently been an upsurge in adult coloring books in the market.

I decided to create some images for my own coloring book and bought a couple for inspiration and ideas.

This week I have been working on initial ideas and sketches for the first story Im working on.

 

I have chosen two stories from a collection of illustrated tales.

I went into Birkenhead to find a book containing stories I might want to illustrate, after a long time searching for a suitable book I found one containing a selection of 50 short stories.

I chose to specialize in illustration and develop my traditional drawing skills this term. I was tasked with completing two double page spreads for a story book illustration in the children's horror genre as well as creating a number of images for an adult coloring book.

this week I began by doing basic research as well as exploring competition websites.
